If you are traveling to Tampa Bay for business or pleasure, here are a few great
places to stay. As well as a first class sight fishing and fly fishing destination, Tampa
Bay offers a variety of other amenities. Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, The Florida
Aquarium, and Ybor City are just a few of the area attractions. Tampa Bay also has
beautiful beaches. Fort Desoto Park as well as Calidisi Island hold some of the highest
rated sand and surf in the world!
Have you have ever wondered what Florida used to look like? The stretch of
shoreline appropriately called " The Nature Coast" is pretty close. Just a 50 min. drive
from Tampa International Airport and you'll be in a true piece of "Ole Florida". It's
Florida before all the major coastal development. A great place to pluck your fly along
the mangrove studded salt marsh. Other activities in the area include Manatee tours
and visiting the natural springs. The Chaz Hotel is a great bed and breakfast hideaway
for the fly fishing or golf enthusiast. Ask about a the 3 bedroom cottage that is also
available across the street.
Between the cities of Tampa and Sarasota lies Anna Maria Island. The beaches
have some of the clearest water you'll see and can rival the Bahamas. Anna Maria is a
great little beach town with small hotels and beach rentals. There are no condos on the
horizon to obstruct your view from some of the most amazing sunsets. Not to mention
the Island offers quick access to a variety of light tackle and fly fishing opportunities.
World class tarpon fishing is at your doorstep.
